“Where flowers grow, so does hope.”

— Lady Bird Johnson

Welcome to Wilde Valley Flowers, an urban flower farm located in the heart of Saline, Michigan. We strive to grow all of our flowers free of pesticides or herbicides, and work to continually educate ourselves on the best ways to balance our growing farm.

My name is Erica, and in 2021 I started growing in our backyard with 200 dahlias and a lot of hope. Together with the support of my incredible husband, we are working to rehabilitate our urban space through organic and regenerative practices.

We grow varieties, including dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, and more, that not only make perfect bouquets but also support our native pollinators.

There is nothing more darling than going out to the garden and hearing the buzzing bees and feeling the occasional dragonfly buzz past. We even “share” our crops with wild bunnies and neighborhood squirrels. Since starting our garden, we’ve noticed an increase in our bird population, too!

The Team

I have learned an invaluable amount of knowledge from local flower farmers, and the community continues to impress and humble me. I love how each farm has its own story, each as compelling as they are unique, and our farm is no different.

Working Together

This year (2023), we are partnering with Synchrony Farm to expand our growing space to offer more blooms. We are excited to work with owners Julie and Jim, turning a portion of their horse farm into a flower field. At Wilde Valley Flower Farm, we prioritize regenerative farming practices to ensure that our flowers are not only beautiful but also environmentally responsible.

We are working towards creating a space for a cozy upick and workshops at our space. You can buy our flowers (during growing season) at our Saturday morning market, or on our website where we offer subscriptions and bulk purchases.
